“Would you consider freezing your eggs?” my mom asked when I turned 27.
I gasped.
“Freezing my eggs!? I’m a teenager!!”
Now that I’m in my late teens (read: 31), I’m thinking about it more seriously. Thinking about it to such an extent that I had the intro call with the company that my workplace partners with for oocyte cryopreservation (aka egg freezing).
In this post, I’m exploring why I’ve been getting more serious about this option, especially in a career where I spend most of my day caring for others.
TW: If you’re currently trying to conceive or have faced challenges with fertility, or are at all triggered by conversations about parenthood/motherhood, this may be a post to skip.
